About Connected Life Today’s Eclectic Tarot
My first self-made and fully independently published tarot deck will be available when I launch the new webshop in Q1-2026. It has taken an incredible amount of time and effort to create and finalize it and I’m VERY happy with the result. The deck is perfect for beginners because the images that I used will immediately give a visceral feeling of the meaning of the cards, even if you’ve never seen or used a tarot deck before. Advanced readers will also find it a valuable edition to their collection. Please be advised that the deck isn’t cheap because it’s an indie deck, not mass market, and it will only be available in my webshop.
The deck is a contemporary version of the original Rider-Waite tarot, and it’s eclectic because the artwork that I used for the cards is eclectic. I didn’t use just one art style, as you will see when I start posting videos next year to showcase my deck. As I have to enter and complete a rather lengthy (and costly) process for brand protection/trademark registration I will only show you 4 cards from the Major Arcana, and 3 cards from each suit in the Minor Arcana in the product description for now. You can catch a glimpse of some of the other cards in the deck in the product image for the General Energy Reading. Stay tuned for more!
Card stock
Connected Life Today’s Eclectic Tarot has 78 cards in the standard tarot size which is 2.75″×4.75″ (70×120mm). The weight of the paper is 300gsm and the cards are matte, not glossy. They’re printed on S30 card stock which gives them a smooth, but not slippery, finish. This is beneficial for shuffling and handling, and varnishing keeps the cards from getting dirty. S30 is a popular card stock for game card designers, and for higher end company/wedding promotional purposes. The thickness of the cards is about 0.30mm which makes them very flexible, yet sturdy. The deck comes in a custom tuck box (T30 Aqueous-matte) with a seal.
Please note that there is no guidebook in the box as there are uncountable resources, both online and printed, that explain the meaning of the cards in the Rider-Waite deck. I do advise you to find one that works best for you if you’re new to tarot. Some people prefer to read introductory books and articles, while others like to (only) watch videos. A combination of both is best of course!
Shipping and delivery
The decks are printed in China and for now I’m not keeping them in stock, so at this stage they are all printed on demand. I will collect the orders that come in and I’ll send them out every Wednesday and Friday. If you place your order before close of business on Tuesday and Thursday your order will be processed the next day. Please note that I don’t provide worldwide shipping yet, but this will change as the shop grows. At present I provide shipping to the following countries via the webshop: all countries within the EU, United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Brazil, Japan, China, India, United Arab Emirates, South Africa, Egypt and Australia. The standard shipping method for all orders is registered mail with a track and trace code, which you will receive by email when the deck is on its way to you.
