About Connected Life Today’s Eclectic Tarot

My first self-made and fully independently published tarot deck will go on sale in Q2-2026. It has taken an incredible amount of time and effort to create and finalize it and I’m VERY happy with the result. The deck is perfect for beginners because the images that I used will immediately give a visceral feeling of the meaning of the cards, even if you’ve never seen or used a tarot deck before. Advanced readers will also find it a valuable edition to their collection. Please be advised that the deck isn’t cheap because it’s an indie deck, not mass market, and it will only be available in my webshop. The Eclectic Tarot is a contemporary version of the original Rider-Waite and it’s eclectic because I didn’t use just one art style for the cards, as you will see when I start posting the Eclectic Tarot Readings to showcase my deck.

My Eclectic Tarot’s Second Unique Feature!

My deck is unique because I used artwork in different styles and from different artists, and I’ve honestly -to date- not seen another tarot deck that has been designed this way.

The second unique feature that I want to highlight is the fact that this is the only tarot deck that I will create, and over the years I will make sets of 25 cards with new images. These new sets will of course be available in the shop as well, so if you buy an additional pack you can mix and mingle the cards that you use for your readings. Even though my deck is somewhat pricey because it’s independently published, it’s a long-term investment!

Card stock

Connected Life Today’s Eclectic Tarot has 78 cards in the standard tarot size which is 2.75″×4.75″ (70×120mm). The weight of the paper is 300gsm and I changed the card finish from matte to gloss as it makes the images stand out even more. The cards are printed on S30 card stock which gives them a smooth finish. This is beneficial for shuffling and handling and varnishing keeps the cards from getting dirty. S30 is a popular card stock for game card designers, and for higher end company/wedding promotional purposes. The thickness of the cards is about 0.30mm which makes them very flexible, yet sturdy. The deck comes in a custom tuck box (T30 UV coated gloss) with a seal.

Please note that there is no guidebook in the box as there are uncountable resources, both online and printed, that explain the meaning of the cards in the Rider-Waite deck. I do advise you to find one that works best for you if you’re new to tarot. Some people prefer to read introductory books and articles, while others like to (only) watch videos. A combination of both is best of course!

Shipping and delivery

The decks are printed in China and for now I’m not keeping them in stock, so at this stage they are all printed on demand. I will collect the orders that come in and I’ll send them out every Wednesday and Friday. If you place your order before close of business on Tuesday and Thursday your order will be processed the next day. Please note that I don’t provide worldwide shipping yet, but this will change as the shop grows. At present I provide shipping to the following countries via the webshop:

The standard shipping method for all orders is registered mail with a track and trace code, which you will receive by email when the deck is on its way to you. Please allow 10-15 business days for the final delivery.

If you live in a country that is not mentioned above but you would like to purchase my deck, please contact me directly so I can process your order manually in my bookkeeping program. Also, if you can’t wait 10-15 days and would like to have the deck ASAP :), you can contact me directly for manual processing and I will give you a quote for the use of a courier and express delivery. Please note that, where applicable, you are responsible for the payment of the import fees, also known as customs duties, imposed on goods brought into the country where your package is shipped to.

The 30-day period starts on the day that the track and trace information shows the package was physically delivered to the shipping address. Payment and VAT

Connected Life Today is exempt from VAT under the KOR and EU-KOR as per February 9th, 2025, and all payments are securely processed by Mollie. The 3 payment methods that I’ve selected for the store from the wide range that’s offered by Mollie are: iDEAL (NL Only), SEPA Bank transfer, and Credit and Debit cards (VISA, Mastercard, and AMEX). Please note that all the fees that are mentioned on Mollie’s website are only the fees that merchants pay for the processing of transactions, not the fees that customers pay when they buy an item online.

To ensure price transparency for all customers in all currencies, I’ve set the default exchange rates for the store to the exchange rates of the ECB. Please note however, that I am NOT affiliated with the ECB in any way. In my opinion the entire Central Banking system is completely unsustainable in the long term because it’s debt-based and creates perpetual inflation, but as long as it hasn’t been replaced with a more human-centric and durable alternative the ECB rates are still a benchmark.
